STARKE, Fla. (WCJB) – A library director is now out of a job and behind bars.
Bradford County commissioners have formally fired library director Robert Perone.
Perone, 61, is accused of stealing more than $12 thousand from the county’s Friends of the Library non-profit group.
Organizers told deputies that Perone was the only one who had access to their debit card, and they found thousands of dollars missing.
